The American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) is a non-profit association, legally incorporated on November 8, 1923, fostering a healthy investment climate based on access to knowledge, opportunities, and a culture of best practices for the socio-economic and professional development of its members. AMCHAMDR is affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and is a founding member of the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America (AACCLA).
AMCHAMDR's membership, which began with a small group of U.S. companies in the country, now includes more than 1,600 national and international corporations that maintain trade relationship with the United States of America.
AMCHAMDR is the only institution of its kind with a national presence through its provincial committees in Santiago de los Caballeros, Moca, San Francisco de Macorís, La Vega, Puerto Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, La Romana, Higüey and Baní. It also offers services through its regional offices located in Santiago de los Caballeros for the Northern Region and La Romana for the Eastern Region, and further representing the interests of such areas.
AMCHAMDR develops an agenda designed to connect and represent its partners in new trends in the business world, markets, and indicators, both nationally and internationally. Its catalog of services is designed to add value to its members by offering concrete solutions and identifying opportunities for business and professional growth.
