The American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) will hold its monthly luncheon with the lecture "The Dominican Republic of the Future: Goals and Consensus," led by Pedro Brache, president of the National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP).

The event, which has attracted the attention of representatives from the business and government sectors, will take place next Tuesday, September 17, at 12:30 PM in the Gran Embajador Room of the Embajador Hotel.

Brache holds a Bachelor of Business degree with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from Syracuse University and a Master of Business degree with a concentration in International Marketing from American University.

In 1989, he joined Grupo Rica, working in various areas and departments both at Pasteurizadora Rica and at the other companies within the group. Since 1999, he has served as Corporate Executive President of Grupo Rica.

In 2013, Brache joined the CONEP Executive Committee as a member until 2015, and became Second Vice President of the Board of Directors for the 2015-2017 term. Since 2017, Pedro Brache has chaired the National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP), which reappointed him for the 2019-2021 term.

In addition to presiding over CONEP, Brache heads the Board of Directors of the Agribusiness Board (JAD) and is a member of the Boards of Directors of Grupo Rica, the American Chamber of Commerce, Grupo Popular, the Juan Ml. Taveras Rodríguez Foundation, Inc., and the Rica Foundation.

Brache is a member of the Young President's Organization (YPO), where she served as Chapter Chair of the Dominican Republic chapter, as well as members of the British, Spanish, and Mexican Chambers of Commerce. She directs the Heal a Nation social responsibility program and is also involved with several charities.
