This event, organized by AMCHAM Colombia, features more than 1,500 entrepreneurs from 14 countries seeking new ways to do business amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced the entire world to maintain physical distancing to prevent contagion.
Every participant entering the fair has the opportunity to visit the portal that will transport them to the nine pavilions and 109 stands that will bring together entrepreneurs participating in the innovative initiative from June 24th to 26th. They can also access the academic program designed to guide participants on how to do business in the United States.
Yesterday was the first day of the Fair, which emerged as a response to the search for new markets and business prospects amid the global economic crisis imposed by COVID-19. According to data provided by AMCHAM Colombia, more than 3,000 interactions were recorded among participants.
The president of AMCHAM Colombia, María Claudia Lacouture, stated that this space seeks to provide innovative alternatives for entrepreneurs in the region. She revealed that 1,774 business meetings have been scheduled between registered prospects and exhibitors.
Additionally, it was reported that 207 companies from the United States, from 11 states (Florida, Illinois, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Indiana, Michigan, Maryland, Virginia, Texas, and California), are participating in the Fair. Latin American companies include entrepreneurs from Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic.
The sectors represented at the Fair include technology, agribusiness, tourism, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, services, construction, auto parts, security and defense, communications, medical equipment, and textiles.
By taking the virtual tour, participants have the opportunity to do business with exhibitors through their booths or network with prospects walking through the Fair.
Companies participating as exhibitors have the opportunity to offer their products and services from their booth and assist interested customers in real time via chat or video calls.
The U.S. Department of Commerce's Commercial Service office and the American Chambers of Commerce of the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Uruguay are allied with this fair.
