The American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) will organize an AmchamDR Encounter with guest speaker José Manuel Vicente, Minister of Finance.

The event will be held next Wednesday, April 20, at 12:00 pm in the Grand Ambassador Room of the Hotel Embajador.

The American Chamber of Commerce announced that those interested in attending the presentation will have the option of purchasing in-person tickets at a cost of RD$5,500.00 + VAT for members, and RD$6,800.00 + VAT for non-members.

About the speaker

Finance Minister José Manuel Vicente is an economist who graduated summa cum laude from the Pontifical Catholic Mother and Teacher University (PUCMM) and specializes in the financial and management consulting industry.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.

Vicente possesses professional skills in negotiation, business planning, international business, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions.

He has held the positions of director of the National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP), president of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo, and president of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE).

He was also a professor of the Master's in Financial Management at PUCMM and of the Economic Environment module of the Barna Business School MBA.

The Minister of Finance served as director of MacroAnalit, a firm specializing in corporate finance and economics.
