The American chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) AMCHAMDR is a non-profit association, legally incorporated on November 8, 1923, that fosters a healthy investment climate based on access to knowledge, opportunities, and a culture of best practices for the socio-economic and professional development of its members. AMCHAMDR is affiliated with the US Chamber of Commerce, and is a founding member of the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America (AACCLA).
AMCHAMDR's membership, which began as a small group of U.S. companies in the country, now encompasses more than 1,600 national and international companies that maintain business relationships with the United States of America.
AMCHAMDR is the only institution of its kind with a national presence through its provincial committees in Santiago de los Caballeros, Moca, San Francisco de Macorís, La Vega, Puerto Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, La Romana, Higüey, and Baní, as well as through its regional offices located in Santiago de los Caballeros for the Northern Zone and La Romana for the Eastern Zone, thus representing the interests of entire regions.
